I was shocked today to discover that the Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, died this morning in a freak accident involving a stingray. It seems that he startled it and it twitched its tail, stabbing him in the heart with it's tail barb. www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,20349560-661,00.html What can you say but "Croiky"

Yeah, that was pretty sad to read. My heart goes out to his family.

Sounds like Wyrd didn't like the man very much.

Actually, I enjoyed his show a great deal. He was smart & funny & fearless. I feel terrible for his wife & dog. On the other hand, he risked death daily. It was bound to happen eventually. What bothers me most about his death is the silly way it happened. Just in case...

yeah, none of that really helps when you get stabbed in the heart, though.

Again, may I say how silly this was. People don't get pierced in the heart by stingrays.

Once upon a time we could have been safe in that assumption.

If it wasn't so tragic, I'd think it was a publicity stunt.
