That is probably why you don't know everything. You are wasting your brains.

I'm not wasting them, I'm preserving them for a greater purpose. What that purpose is, I have no idea, though.

Not brains, pig face soup. I'd say I'm flattered that you remember, but how could you forget something like that?

Davyd & I have known eachother over 15 years. One nite, he drove me to Safeway & I bot a few packages of hog jowls, ears & snouts. I used them to flavor a fairly standard (tho, I like to think, above average) bean soup that simmered in my crockpot for 24+ hrs. I called it Pig Face Soup.

Wow, I didn't realize you knew Davyd in person. That is cool!
What are hog jowls?

Wow, I didn't realize you knew Davyd in person. That is cool! What are hog jowls? Yes, it is cool. I wish I still lived in Colorado Springs, so I could see him once in a while. Jowls are cheeks.

Cheeks, ears and snouts.......... sounds like a German cuisine.

More or less. Actually, every culture has its "is that really edible" cuisine. What was that boiled rye stuff you told me about once? The Easter dinner or breakfast or something?

Easter delicacy called mämmi. Yeah, when you see that, you're really wondering if it really is edible.
